A Whole Buncha Bhutan

In Bhutan we did a lot of things. First day we we hiked to a monastery and met monks, next day we walked (actually drove) around the city, next day we hiked TIGERS NEST (which is probably going to be the biggest hike of our trip). Now I am going to tell you about every single one of those things starting with the monks.

The hike to the monastery was about 2 miles and the elevation was 2000m at the start 3000m at the monastery. The hike was very cold. When we got there we found a soccer field but could not find a ball, and finally we went to the monastery and had lunch with the monks.

Now I am going to tell you about walking (actually driving) around the city. First we went to the big buddha statue. The big Buddha statue is actually very new, they started building it in 2006 and finished in 2010. Next we went to get LOCAL ICE CREAM!!!!!(Yum). Next we went to a craft market and saw a lot of cool stuff including wallets, sweaters, and more. Then we went to a site with all sorts of cool animals including a takin, (which is part cow part goat) a boar, a bunch a birds, some goats and a lot more that I don’t remember. Then we went to a museum and me and Leo found a cool/creepy exit. Then we went to have lunch and did archery (we each hit the target once if you were wondering). Then we got settled into our new hotel because the next day was big.

Now for the moment you have all been waiting for TIGERS NEST *sound effects.* Tip (this true story is rated FA which stands for FOR ANYONE) When we started the hike there was a dog that literally followed us the ENTIRE HIKE… geez, that sounds pretty exhausting, right… well it was not… huh, I know, I know but it wasn’t. Man that was a long intro, anyway when we got to the halfway point (with the dog) there was a plate of 5 cookies. My mom had one, our driver had one, my dad had two, and then my parents told me and Leo to share one because they assumed that we had both had one the second the plate was served. So we were both angry, then to make matters worse Leo “accidentally” just shoved the whole cookie in his mouth… not cool. Geez how about them cookies. Anyway, when we got to the top me and Leo played cards. On the way back down we talked about Zelda.
