Eating around the world.
FOOD! Traveling to new places means trying new foods. So far, we’ve tasted some things we are sure add to our diets when we return (like queso helado) and others we are happy to have just once (like Peking duck).
Breakfast buffets, street stands, restaurants, and grocery shopping are all opportunities for us to expand our flavor horizons and lean on some old favorites when we want a taste of home. And to stretch our budget, we eat a lot of peanut butter sandwiches.
Either way, our medicine bag includes anti-diarrhea medications for both children and adults, OTC and prescription, plus dozens of dissolvable electrolyte tablets. New flavors from new cuisines provides new, sometimes troublesome gastrointestinal challenges. We’re ready.
