Where we sleep.

Sometimes our hotel budget of $100USD per night buys a lot, sometimes it doesn’t. Getting breakfast included is a huge bonus, as that gives our $100USD per day food budget a little breathing room. We’ve stayed in hotels, at caravan parks with shared facilities, and in whole-home Airbnbs.

Also, we’ve learned to book places with enough room for enough time at frequent enough intervals to relieve the pressure of being together 24/7.

Our Peru average daily night’s stay was only $59.50USD, and since we left is $88.86USD/night. Not bad. Hong Kong was particularly expensive, so we used some credit card points offset our cost.

In order, here are photos of places we’ve unpacked, slept (for anywhere from 1 to 13 nights), and packed up again. If you’re interested in any of these home sweet homes, click on (most of) the captioned photos for links.
