Sofia, Bulgaria.
Our first train trip on our Eurail Pass was an 16+ hour overnight trip from Istanbul to Sofia. This was a big reason we put Turkey in our Asian chronicles and decided Sofia would be the beginning of our European gallery. While we only had a couple days here, it felt like we packed it with some great highlights:
