Taj Mahal, Agra, India.
We opted to visit the Taj Mahal without an overnight in Agra and instead took a (long) day trip from Delhi. Maybe it was his giggle, but the Uber driver we had from the airport when we first landed in Delhi had a persona we really vibed with. We asked if he did day trips and he said yes, so we asked him to drive us to Agra and back, which saved us a bunch of money.
Plus, we got to move on our time and were not required to pay continuous attention to a tour guide. So tiring.
Built in the 1600s by Shah Jahan, a Mughal emperor, the Taj Mahal is truly a tomb of extravagance. He had it built for his beloved wife. It is a site to behold.
