Illuminescent Bugs
Today is another day of traveling, yay. Today was going to be FUN because we were going to the glow worm cave where the worms have illuminescent things in their body, I know WHAT.
For breakfast we had cereal but we didn't have oat or almond milk, they only had cow.
After that we watched Fiona (the person who let us use their house) feed her hens because she lived on a farm; then we helped take the hens eggs and give them to Fiona. We can take the eggs because if there is no rooster then the eggs can't turn into chicks.
Back to the glow worms, so when we got there I didn't feel good so that sucks. I went in and we had to wait our turn which was like a 45 minute wait, not too long. When I got in there was a path to something that was blocked off because if you walked through it you would fall off the cliff. The cave is underground with a rainforest on top of it so the water drips down onto the ground in the cave. And it takes 2 hundred years to make 1 cubic centimeter, I know WHAT. Also if there was an earthquake you would want to be in that cave because the walls in there absorb the shock. There was even a tour there when an earthquake happened and they didn't figure it out until they got out. WHAT. I eventually found an elephant sculpture (it was made by the cave) so cool. I forgot to mention this but, you can't touch the walls inside the cave because there is something in your body that makes it turn the color black, which is bad for it and they don't want any tracks of people in it. I eventually got on a boat to go see the glow worms which was amazing, of course. There were at least 2 thousand in my opinion but all they really look like is a lighten up (very small) ball. They also live on the ceiling, so they catch their prey by putting a long string from their mouths down to the ground but not touching the ground; and when it is dark the strings glow, so when the bugs see the glow they are attracted to it and get stuck on the string. It takes about 5 to 6 minutes to bring the string back up, I know WHAT.
At the end of the boat ride we got off and looked at the water and saw a fish swimming along in the stream. We went into the gift shop and my mom and my dad were looking at a honey that supposingly makes you feel better when you eat it, and it is super expensive. When we got to the airbnb we went to a cafe where we saw a hugemondorus great dane.
