The Sticky Elephants
Today was going to be a blast because first of all it was Ari's birthday and because we were going to go see elephants and climb a sticky waterfall and make bookmarks out of elephant poop. We had to get picked up at 8:30 so we had to get up at 7:30 to get packed up for the trip, so we didn't have that much time to eat breakfast so we just went to our hotel’s cafe. I got two ham and cheese croissants and a lemon tea, my dad got one chocolate and one ham and cheese croissant and a honey lemon presso, my mom got two banana breads and a latte and a croffle, last but definitely not least my brother got a croffle and a chocolate croissant and a blueberry lemon yogurt smoothie. When the tour guide came and picked us up my dad was in the bathroom so Ari and I both raced to the bathroom and told my dad “THE CAR’S HERE, HURRY UP.”
When we got in the car there were two people in it and those were the other people on the tour. The first place we were going to go to was the elephant poopoopaper park where you make stuff out of elephant poop. When we got there we saw a lot of poop on the ground and it was there to show you the path which I thought was kind of cool. Our tour guide also told us how the process worked, it starts off with taking the poop and boiling it in fire than you take it and put it in a machine with some construction paper and mixing it up together and then when it comes out you make it in to balls and put the balls onto a plate thing that's soaked in water and when you put it on the plate you spread it out and then put it out in the sun till its dry, when it's dry you peel it off and voila it's done. The bookmarks were already made so all we had to do was take the things that we wanted and glue them onto the bookmark, we also got to take them home.
Our next stop was the sticky waterfall where you can climb up a very hard/fast flow of the waterfall. When we got there there was a staircase that was super long, when we got to the bottom we walked down the waterfall to a rope you have to hold onto the rope so you don't break your head open. When me and ari both went down we both bonked into the side of the wall, it did not hurt all it just was funny. When we got a little less than halfway we got to take photos of us on the waterfall. Of course I climbed higher than anyone else to get the best shot in the picture. Our tour guide said that you should step on the white rocks so you don't slip, but if there are no white rocks go to the green ones but be cautious because you might slip. When we were at the top Ari , dad and one of our people in our tour all slipped which I thought was pretty funny, but them not so much. We were going to eat there so we ordered before and when we got served our tour guide gave Ari a FREE cake super nice. The flavor was orange and it was super good because it was super light.
We got back in the car and our tour guide said our next stop is going to be the elephants. We arrived and we put on this weird looking poncho thing to make mud not on your clothing. We unpeeled bananas and cut bamboo for the elephants because they eat 10% of their body weight and they weigh 10,000 pounds so that's 1,000 pounds of food, I know what you're thinking WHAT. Their vitamins are in a rice mixed with banana shaped as a ball, doesn't make any sense. There was a baby that was one month old and was smaller than Ari. We got some more food and crossed a river that went up to your waist. When we got to the other side of the river we fed the elephants and one squirted sand on its back. We eventually went back in the river and we got to dump water on the elephants, one even took a wizz. One of the elephants even sat down in the water, twice.
Then we headed back to the car and got in and it was going to take one hour and 30 mins to get to our hotel. But that didn't matter because I slept half of the way so it went by fast. When we got back we watched Aris' birthday present and ate cake with ice cream and then we watched black sheep and Transformers 2.
